SKOPJE (Macedonia), April 5 (SeeNews) – Turkish medical sector companies Istem Medical and Total plan to invest a combined 35 million euro ($45.5 million) to open plants near Skopje, Macedonia's foreign investment promotion agency said on Friday.
Istem Medical and Total plan to invest 20 million euro and 15 million euro, respectively, in production capacity in the free industrial zone Bunardzik near the capital city, the Invest in Macedonia agency said in a statement made available to SeeNews.
In January, the agency said that Turkish company Matek Medical will invest 15 million euro in the construction of a local factory.
Istem Medical and Total plan to open 250 new jobs each, while Matek plans to employ 200 people, the statement said.
Friday's statement was issued following the visit to Turkey of Invest in Macedonia director Visar Fida where he met representatives of the three companies.
