BELGRADE (Serbia), October 29 (SeeNews) – Macedonia kept its top position among Southeast European (SEE) countries in terms of reforms aimed at enhancing business activity this year, the World Bank said on Tuesday.
Macedonia occupied the 25th position in the World Bank's Doing Business 2014 report, which covers 189 economies. The second-best ranked SEE country was Slovenia, on the 33th spot, followed by Montenegro on the 44th, the bank said in its report.
Doing Business 2014 is the 11th in a series of annual reports covering regulations affecting 11 areas of the life of a business: starting a business, dealing with construction permits, getting electricity, registering property, getting credit, protecting investors, paying taxes, trading across borders, enforcing contracts, resolving insolvency and employing workers.
