November 13 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's October producer price index (PPI) for the industrial sector rose 0.4% month-on-month, after going down by a monthly 0.3% in September, the State Statistical Office said on Tuesday.
October's PPI was 3.3% higher than a year earlier. In September it was 2.0% higher on a yearly basis.
Cumulative PPI for the first ten months of the year was 1.2% higher than it was at the end of 2006. Macedonia's PPI rose by 4.5% in 2006 after increasing by 3.2% in 2005.

NOTE: Economists see changes in producer prices as a key indicator of trends in consumer price inflation. Macedonia's monthly consumer price inflation rose by 0.5% in October after increasing by 0.9% in September.
