SKOPJE (Macedonia), December 11 (SeeNews) – Macedonia has called a tender for the setting up of a public-private partnership to develop, finance and manage a high-tech and industrial development zone, a notice in the European Union’s procurement journal indicated on Tuesday.
Bids for the project, with an estimated value of 7.0 million euro ($9.0 million), should be sent by January 15, the notice in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) showed.
The zone will be located in the northwestern city of Tetovo, the Macedonian directorate for technological industrial development zones, the contracting authority for the project, said in a separate statement.
The partnership will be concluded for a period of 96 years.
Within 21 days after the date of granting the contract, the selected bidder will be required to establish an independent legal entity with authorized principal of at least 50,000 euro, the TED notice said.
