December 7 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Macedonia increased by 37.5% year-on-year to 400 in October, the state statistical office said on Thursday.
The estimated value of the construction projects covered by building permits issued in October increased by an annual 41.3% to 3.9 billion denars ($74.7 million/63.4 million euro), the statistical office said in a statement.
In October, a total of 245 permits were issued for new buildings, 38 for civil engineering projects, and 117 for reconstruction projects. Of the total number of permits issued in October, 282 were issued to private individuals.
During the review period, 929 dwellings were planned for construction, with a total usable floor area of 74,963 sq m.
