November 10 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Macedonia decreased by 25% year-on-year to 222 in September, the state statistical office said on Friday.
The estimated value of the construction projects covered by building permits issued in September decreased by an annual 30% to 3.6 billion denars ($68.2 million/58.5 million euro), the statistical office said in a statement.
In September, a total of 141 permits were issued for new buildings, 18 for civil engineering projects, and 63 for reconstruction projects. Of the total number of permits issued in September, 162 were issued to private individuals.
During the review period, 665 dwellings were planned for construction, with a total usable floor area of 55,192 sq m.
