December 8 (SeeNews) - UK-based executive air charter operator Luxaviation said it has included the airports of Ljubljana, Sofia and Skopje to its list of top ten destinations for this winter.
Sofia ranks fifth, followed by Skopje in the sixth and Ljubljana in the ninth place on the company's list of this year’s European winter hotspots, Luxaviation said in a statement earlier this week.
The company reported a significant increase in flight requests to the airports of Ljubljana, Sofia and Skopje.
"In the past few weeks, we have provided more quotes than ever before to the region. Ljubljana provides access to the Pohorje Mountains, a favourite for night skiing; Sofia is only a short drive to the popular Bansko resort in the Pirin Mountains and Skopje is just 90 minutes from Popova Sapka where excellent snow cover is virtually guaranteed between January and March," the managing director of Luxaviation, George Galanopoulos, said in the statement.
Luxaviation services private aviation clients, whether for corporate or leisure travel, the company said.
