January 5 (SeeNews) - Croatian port operator Luka Rijeka [ZSE:LKRI-R-A] led the blue-chip gainers on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) on Thursday, as the 25-share benchmark CROBEX index hit its highest level since August 2011.
CROBEX added 0.36% to 2,030.28 points, reaching its highest level since Auugust 31, 2011, when it closed at 2,033.92. The index lost 0.19% on Wednesday.
Luka Rijeka closed 4.97% higher at 49.43 kuna, as 40 shares changed hands.
Food, beverage and drug producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR-R-A] generated the highest trading turnover of 1.044 million kuna on the ZSE on Thursday. The company's shares closed 0.07% lower at 362.95 kuna.
Telecoms operator Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] paced the blue-chip decliners, as its share price fell 1.07% to 167.00 kuna.
The bourse's total trading turnover fell to 17.96 million kuna on Thursday from 31.3 million kuna on Wednesday.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, edged down 0.05% to 1,171.76 points after decreasing 0.11% in the previous trading session.
The fixed-income CROBIS index added 0.04% to 109.0149 points.
