LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), December 27 (SeeNews) – Slovenian port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] recorded the sharpest losses among the blue-chip companies on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) on Friday, bourse data showed.
Luka Koper's shares closed 1.32% lower at 22.4 euro.
The bourse was closed on December 24, 25 and 26 for Christmas.
Reinsurer Sava Re [LJE:POSR] posted the biggest gains among the blue-chip companies, closing 1.11% higher at 18.2 euro.
Earlier in the day, Sava Re said it signed an agreement with lender Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB) for the purchase of 100% of the share capital of life insurer NLB Vita. “The acquisition of NLB Vita represents an important step for the Sava Insurance Group in the consolidation of its position in Slovenia’s life insurance market,” Sava Re said.
The LJSE's blue-chip SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on the LJSE, ended Friday's session 0.03% lower at 924.84 points.
Fuel retailer Petrol [LJE:PETG] generated the bigger part of LJSE's trading turnover on Friday – 291,250 euro. The bourse's total turnover fell to 1.29 million euro ($1.4 million) from 1.73 million euro on Monday.
