September 2 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip SBITOP index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) fell 0.53% to 850.37 points on Monday, hit by a drop in the share price of port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG], bourse data showed.
Luka Koper’s shares closed 2.96% lower at 26.2 euro.
On Friday, the port operator said its net profit dropped by 28% year-on-year to 25 million euro in the first half of 2019.
Logistics group Intereuropa [LJE:IEKG], which reported a double-digit rise in first-half profit last week, posted the biggest gains among the Slovenian blue-chip companies on Monday for a second session running. The company's shares closed at 2.6 euro, up 0.78%, after they added 2.38% on Friday.
Intereuropa said on Thursday its consolidated net profit rose 14% on the year to 3.1 million euro ($3.4 million) in the first half of 2019.
LJSE's total daily trading turnover fell to 602,530 euro ($661,914) on Monday from 1.24 million euro on Friday.
Trading in the shares of pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] formed the largest portion of LJSE's turnover on Monday, of 334,410 euro.
