May 26 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) ended fractionally lower on Thursday on losses in Podravka and Atlantska Plovidba, bourse data showed.
The 23-share blue-chip index, the CROBEX, dipped 0.14% to finish at 2,088.01 points.
The narrower CROBEX10 which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, lost 0.15% to end at 1,243.30 points.
Consumer goods distributor Atlantic Grupa [ZSE:ATGR] was the most traded share with a turnover of 1.5 million kuna ($213,000/199,000 euro). Its shares appreciated 0.61% to end at 1,650 kuna.
No other stock generated a turnover above the one million kuna mark.
Index heavyweight food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] fell 0.98% to 606 kuna in a turnover of 242,000 kuna.
In lower turnover, shares of shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] went down 1.49% to 528 kuna.
The biggest daily gainer was Djuro Djakovic group [ZSE:DDJH]. Its shares surged 13% to end at 2.26 kuna on the news that its unit Djuro Djakovic Special Vehicles signed an 83 million kuna contract to manufacture and deliver its Shimmns freight rail carriages to an unnamed Swiss company. Djuro Djakovic is part of the broader index, the CROBEX, with a relatively low weight in it.
The bourse's total turnover fell to 4.6 million kuna, from 10.7 million kuna on Wednesday, when it was boosted by a 2.2 million kuna block deal.
