August 31 (SeeNews) - A drop in the share price of blue-chip index heavyweight Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] dragged down the main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) on Tuesday, bourse data showed.
The ZSE's blue-chip 18-share benchmark CROBEX declined 0.18%, closing at 1,967,54. points.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the top companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, dipped 0.04% to finish at 1,207.32 points.
Hotel operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] was the most liquid share on Tuesday with a turnover of 2.1 million kuna ($331,000/280,000 euro) as its price gained 0.34% to end at 29.60 kuna.
Shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] was the second most traded share with a turnover of 1.2 million kuna as its price fell 2.89% to close at 470 kuna.
Food producer Cakovecki Mlinovi [ZSE:CKML] ranked third in terms of turnover with 921,000 kuna. The company's share price surged 3.7% to 8,400 kuna on the news that its shareholders have decided to pay a dividend of 500 kuna per share out of retained profit from previous years and to carry out a 1-to-98 stock split.
Hrvatski Telekom ended 0.52% lower at 190 kuna in a turnover of 739,700 kuna.
The biggest gainer on Tuesday was shipping company Alpha Adriatic [ZSE:ULPL] with a 21.21% increase in its share price, to 120 kuna.
The ZSE's turnover from regular trading rose to 7.5 million kuna from 4.1 million kuna on Monday.
