October 18 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) closed lower on Monday, dragged down by losses in food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] and shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL], bourse data showed.
The ZSE's blue-chip 21-share benchmark CROBEX index fell 0.26% to end at 2,042.40 points.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the top 10 companies from the Crobex in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, fell 0.14% to finish at 1,244.38 points.
Shipping company Tankerska Next Generation [ZSE:TPNG] was the most liquid stock on Monday with a trading turnover of 2.3 million kuna ($355,000/306,000 euro). Its shares declined 1.41% to 42 kuna.
ICT solutions provider Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] ranked second in terms of turnover, with 1.3 million kuna. Its share price ended at 1,760 kuna, flat compared to Friday's closing price.
Shares of Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:TH] also ended unchanged at 185 kuna in a turnover of 1.27 million kuna.
Atlantska Plovidba dropped 1.47% to finish at 538 kuna in a turnover of 831,000 kuna.
Podravka's shares fell 0.61% to close at 648 kuna ($100.7/86.8 euro) in a turnover of 629,00 kuna.
The ZSE's total turnover edged up to 9.6 million kuna on Monday, compared to 9.4 million kuna on Friday.
