November 2 (SeeNews) - Pan-European logistics property investor-developer P3 said on Thursday it handed over to a client the first of three warehouses it had planned to build by the end of this year.
P3 handed over a 13,900 sq m logistics facility to European integrated transport and logistics services provider E van Wijk, it said in a press release.
"The building is part of our ambitious expansion programme in Romania. Two more buildings will be delivered at P3 Bucharest park by the end of the year. Our aim is to make the park the most important logistic hub in Bucharest area,” P3 country head in Romania Sinziana Pardhan said.
A team of 40 people will be based at the facility, which will be used for the distribution of an average of 15,000 pallets a month. Its storage capacity is 18,000 pallets, with an option for ground and shelves storage.
"The expansion of our Bucharest operational centre shows our commitment to the Romanian market. Together with P3 we will support our clients to develop their businesses”, E van Wijk logistics brand manager Tudor Iuga said.
P3 currently has a total of 318,000 sq m in 12 warehouses in Romania, and a further 51,000 sq m under construction, all in P3 Park in Bucharest. Located just 13 km from the city centre, the park is on the city ring road, which provides easy access to all six Bucharest districts, Henri Coanda International Airport and the A2 motorway. P3 has recently completed three new buildings at P3 Bucharest park and is also looking to expand in Bucharest as well as central and western parts of the country.
Active throughout Europe, P3 has an asset base which comprises 182 warehouses totalling 3.8 million sq m across nine countries and a land bank for up to 1.8 million sq m of further development.
