February 3 (SeeNews) - Croatian real estate company Log Expert Five, part of Romanian group Log Expert, said it is developing a project in Osijek, eastern Croatia.
“Due to the project's confidential nature, we cannot share any further details at this stage,” Oana Gaspar, a representative of Log Expert Five told SeeNews in an emailed statement.
According to an environmental impact assessment of the project published on the website of Croatia's economy ministry, the project is a factory for prosthetic implants, and motherboards and chips for the automotive industry that will spread on almost 170,000 square metres and will have some 1,700 manufacturing employees who will be working in three shifts.
Croatia's Nova TV reported earlier this week that an investor in the project is an unnamed US industrial giant with annual revenue of more than $30 billion (27 billion euro) which has 250,000 employees around the world.
The Log Expert group of companies is engaged in real estate development, primarily focusing on the markets of central and eastern Europe, according to the statement. The group is developing a number of other projects in Croatia including logistics centres near Velika Gorica and Rijeka, Croatian news website Tportal reported earlier this week.
