July 29 (SeeNews) - The Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) blue-chip SBITOP index gained a slim 0.06% to 874.30 points on Monday, backed by financial group KD Group [LJE:KDHR].
KD Group shares gained 8.12% to 86.5 euro on Monday, offsetting their 7.51% drop in the preceding trading session. KD Group shares are flat compared to the end of June and 69.6% up year-to-date.
Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] led blue-chip losers with a 0.96% decrease, to 62.2 euro. Telekom Slovenije shares are down 1.27% since July 24, when the company said that it plans to distribute a gross dividend of 4.5 euro per share for 2018, sharply down from the 14.3 euro per share the company paid for 2017. At the time the company also announced that its consolidated net profit increased 35% year-on-year in the first half of 2019.
Trade in lender NLB [LJE:NLBR] formed the largest turnover on Monday, of 246,220 euro, followed by transactions in drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG] shares, which contributed a further 208,630 euro.
LJSE's total daily trading turnover dropped sharply, to 670,210 euro ($745,840) on Monday from 1.49 million euro in the preceding trading session.
