January 12 (SeeNews) - The two stock indices on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) closed lower on Wednesday, compared with the previous trading day, as chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] paced the blue-chip decliners, bourse data showed.
Cinkarna Celje's shares fell 1.13% to 262 euro on Wednesday, LJSE data showed.
Reinsurer Pozavarovalnica Sava [LJE:POSR] was the sole gainer among the members of the two stock indices, as its shares rose 0.69% to 29.20 euro.
The blue-chip SBITOP index lost 0.23% and closed at 1,307.36 points. The SBITOP TR index, which also tracks dividend distribution, also fell 0.23%, ending at 1,535.18 points.
Pharmaceutical company Krka [LJE:KRKG] was the most liquid company on the bourse on Wednesday, generating a turnover of 505,018 euro ($576,700). Krka's shares closed at 119 euro, down 0.42% from the previous trading day.
The bourse's daily trading turnover fell to 1.2 million euro on Wednesday from 1.9 million euro on Tuesday.
