August 23 (SeeNews) - The two stock indices on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) closed lower on Tuesday, compared with the previous trading day, as none of the blue chips gained in share value, bourse data showed.
The blue-chip SBITOP index ended at 1,156.73 points, down 1.35%, whereas the SBITOP TR index, which also tracks dividend distribution, closed at 1,439.96 points, some 1.29% lower, LJSE data showed.
Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] lost the most among the members of the two share indices, with shares decreasing 2.65% to 55 euro on Tuesday. Fuel and petroleum retailer Petrol [LJE:PETG] was another major decliner, losing 2.40% to end at 488 euro.
The bourse's total trading turnover rose to 1.4 million euro ($1.4 million) on Tuesday from 790,376 euro on Monday.
Pharmaceutical company Krka [LJE:KRKG] generated the highest single trading turnover on the bourse - of 972,298 euro. Its shares closed at 99 euro on Tuesday, down 0.80%.
