August 9 (SeeNews) - The Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) blue-chip SBITOP index closed lower for a second consecutive trading session, once again dragged down by the two insurers among its members - Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG] and Sava Re [LJE:POSR].
Zavarovalnica Triglav led blue-chip decliners with a 1.27% drop to 31.1 euro, followed by Sava Re with a 0.61% decrease to 16.2 euro.
On Thursday, Zavarovalnica Triglav shares closed 1.56% lower, while Sava Re shares lost 0.61%.
Earlier on Thursday, Zavarovalnica Triglav said that the company and Sava Re intend to acquire joint control over local Diagnosticni center Bled through their joint venture company ZTSR.
LJSE's total daily trading turnover rose to 759,580 euro ($850,250) on Friday from 499,960 euro on Thursday.
Trade in shares of drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG] generated the largest turnover on Friday, of 328,110 euro.
