January 17 (SeeNews) - Passenger traffic at Slovenia's Ljubljana airport increased 46.4% to 421,934 in 2021, data by airport operator Fraport Group showed on Monday.
Aircraft takeoffs and landings at Ljubljana airport went up 34.5% to 17,461 in 2021, while cargo traffic increased by 8.0% to 11,401 metric tonnes, according to figures published on the website of Germany's Fraport Group.
In December alone, Ljubljana airport serviced 45,262 passengers, aircraft movements totalled 1,302, while cargo transport amounted to 1,157 metric tonnes.
In 2020, passenger traffic at Ljubljana airport fell 83.3% year-on-year to 288,235.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, Fraport Group operates the airports in the Bulgarian Black Sea cities of Varna and Burgas.
