November 11 (SeeNews) - Passenger traffic at Slovenia's Ljubljana airport increased 18.8% year-on-year to 331,012 in the first ten months of 2021, data by airport operator Fraport Group showed.
Aircraft takeoffs and landings at Ljubljana airport went up 27.8% to 14,836 in the January-October period, while cargo traffic increased by 8.8% to 9,208 tonnes, according to figures published on the website of Germany's Fraport Group.
In October alone, Ljubljana airport serviced 57,338 passengers, aircraft movements totalled 1,660, while cargo transport amounted to 977 tonnes.
In 2020, passenger traffic at Ljubljana airport fell 83.3% year-on-year to 288,235.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, Fraport Group operates the airports in the Bulgarian Black Sea cities of Varna and Burgas.
