LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), November 14 (SeeNews) – Passenger traffic at Ljubljana airport decreased 2.3% year-on-year to 1,550,080 in the first ten months of 2019, Germany’s Fraport Group, which operates the airport in Slovenia's capital, said.
Aircraft takeoffs and landings at Ljubljana airport decreased 7.9% on the year to 28,161 in the January-October period, while cargo traffic fell 7.5% to 9,455 tonnes, Fraport said in a data release on Wednesday.
In October alone, passenger traffic at Ljubljana airport shrank by 38.5% to 99,231, aircraft movements fell 46.2% to 1,771, while cargo transport dropped 22.6% to 912 tonnes.
In 2018, passenger numbers at Ljubljana airport rose 7.7% to 1,812,411.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, the German company also operates the airports in the Bulgarian Black Sea cities of Varna and Burgas.
