March 14 (SeeNews) - Passenger traffic at Slovenia's Ljubljana airport increased to 122,808 in the first two months of 2023, up 62.2% on the year, data by airport operator Fraport Group showed.
Aircraft takeoffs and landings at Ljubljana airport went up 6.8% on the year to 2,779 in the January-February period, while cargo traffic decreased by 3.8% to 1,798 tonnes, according to figures published on the website of Germany's Fraport Group.
In February alone, Ljubljana airport serviced 64,896 passengers, aircraft movements totalled 1,427, while cargo transport amounted to 892 tonnes.
Passenger traffic at Slovenia's Ljubljana airport more than doubled to 970,152 in 2022 from 421,934 in the previous year.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, Fraport Group operates the airports in the Bulgarian Black Sea cities of Varna and Burgas.
