May 17 (SeeNews) - Passenger traffic at Slovenia's Ljubljana airport increased to 296,494 in the first four months of 2023, up 51.1% on the year, data by airport operator Fraport Group showed.
Aircraft takeoffs and landings at Ljubljana airport grew 5.6% on the year to 6,272 in the January-April period, while cargo traffic went down by 7.6% to 3,841 tonnes, according to figures published on the website of Germany's Fraport Group.
In April alone, Ljubljana airport serviced 95,105 passengers, aircraft movements totalled 1,698, while cargo transport amounted to 910 tonnes.
Passenger traffic at Slovenia's Ljubljana airport more than doubled to 970,152 in 2022 from 421,934 in the previous year.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, Fraport Group operates the airports in the Bulgarian Black Sea cities of Varna and Burgas.
