February 13 (SeeNews) - Chinese company Linglong expects to begin production at its tyre factory in Zrenjanin, in northern Serbia, in the spring, the office of president Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday.
The president's office did not provide a specific date in a statement issued after a meeting between Vucic and Chinese officials.

The Chinese company plans to invest 800 million euro ($855 million) in the construction of the factory, the Serbian government said earlier. The factory will have 1,200 employees and will produce 13 million tyres per year.
Linglong launched the construction of the factory works in April 2019.
In 2019, the Zrenjanin city government said the factory will be built in three phases, with the last one to be completed in March 2025.
