November 6 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria-based E-mobility International said on Monday that it has launched an electric car rental service in Sofia together with its Lithuanian peer UAB Ride share, which operates under the Spark brand.
The new service is accessible through the Spark mobile application that allows customers to find the nearest electric car, and to rent it, the Bulgarian e-mobility services provider said in a statement.
The service is an ideal solution for people who do not want to use their private cars in the city and pay parking fees, Stefan Spasov, CEO of UAB Ride share Bulgaria, said.
UAB Ride share Bulgaria is a 50/50 joint venture between E-mobility International and Lithuania's UAB Ride share, E-mobility International told Seenews.
"In addition, the service is an ideal cost management tool for companies which want to provide a car to their employees," Spasov said.
The new service will operate 25 electric cars initially and will double their number in the next six months. Porsche BG is Spark's strategic partner and provider of VW e-up! automobiles for the electric car rental service in Sofia.
