March 24 (SeeNews) - Latvian flag carrier Air Baltic said on Thursday that it will start this summer direct charter flights linking the capital Riga with Bulgaria's Black Sea city of Burgas in partnership with local tour operator Tez Tour Latvija.
Air Baltic will also conduct charter flights to Antalya in Turkey and Araxos in Peloponnese, Greece, as the lifting of coronavirus restrictions releases a pent-up demand for travel, the airline said in a statement.
The Latvian flag carrier operates 33 Airbus A220-300 aircraft and flies to over 70 destinations in Europe, the Middle East and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Prior to the pandemic, Air Baltic offered flights from Sofia to Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius through a codeshare agreement with national carrier Bulgaria Air.
