German processing industry workers down 1% Y/Y in Sep 2010

(ADPnews) - Nov 15, 2010 - The number of jobs in the German processing industry fell 1% on the year to quite below five million in September 2010, the Federal Statistical Office, Destatis, said today.

In the metal production and processing, the slump stood at 3.1%.

The number of hours worked, however, increased 3.4% to 666 million.

Remunerations increased 2.1% to EUR 16.7 billion (USD 22.8bn).
