October 20 (SeeNews) - The Ljubljana Stock Exchange's (LJSE) blue-chip SBITOP index extended its winning streak to seven trading sessions after closing 0.32% higher at 1,185.87 points on Wednesday, bourse data showed.
The SBITOP TR index, which also tracks dividend distribution, also gained 0.32% and closed at 1,382.28 points, LJSE data showed.
Pharmaceutical company Krka [LJE:KRKG] and port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] were the major gainers on Wednesday, advancing 0.90% and 0.80%, respectively. Krka's shares closed the session at 112.50 euro, while Luka Koper's stock ended at 25.2 euro.
Krka was also the most liquid company on the bourse, as its shares generated a turnover of 212,740 euro ($247,800).
Chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] was the sole decliner among the members of the SBITOP index, as its shares dropped 0.42% to 237 euro.
Total daily regulated market turnover amounted to 435,288 euro on Wednesday, down compared with 649,591 euro generated on Tuesday.
