LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), February 7 (SeeNews) – The benchmark index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) fell on Friday, as shares of pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] suffered the sharpest losses among the blue-chip companies, bourse data showed.
The blue-chip SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on the LJSE, ended Friday's session 0.09% lower at 978.16 points.
Krka's shares closed 1.28% lower at 77.0 euro, erasing most of their Thursday's gains. On Thursday, the company's share price added 2.09% to 78.0 euro.
The drug maker contributed almost half of Friday’s total trading turnover on the LJSE – 499,910 euro. The bourse's total regulated market turnover fell to 1.18 million euro ($1.3 million) from 1.64 million euro on Thursday.
Logistics company Intereuropa [LJE:IEKG] posted the biggest gains among the blue chips on Friday, after falling the most on Thursday. Intereuropa's shares closed 13.57% higher at 1.59 euro, after losing 16.17% on Thursday.
