LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), August 25 (SeeNews) – Drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG] generated 65% of the total trading turnover on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) on Friday, bourse data showed.
Krka generated a turnover of 880,000 euro ($1.03 million). The company's shares closed 0.80% higher at 58 euro.
In late July Krka said it will launch a share buyback programme under which it plans to acquire a maximum of 2,720,248 shares over the next 36 months. Krka currently holds 575,685 shares, representing 1.755% of its issued share capital.
Trading turnover on the LJSE totalled 1.36 million euro on Friday, compared with 1.4 million euro on Thursday.
The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on LJSE, fell 0.22% to 826.86 points on Friday. On Thursday, the index increased by 0.90%.
Finance company KD Group [LJE:KDHR] was the top blue-chip gainer on Friday, closing 4.29% higher at 7.3 euro.
Petrol [LJE:PETG] fell the most among blue chips, as it closed 1.16% lower at 382.50 euro.
