March 23 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's trade deficit decreased by 9.2% year-on-year to 317.5 million euro ($346.1 million) in February, the country's statistical office said.
Exports rose by 12.1% year-on-year to 73.1 million euro, while imports decreased by 5.8% to 390.6 million euro in February, the statistical office said in a statement on Wednesday.
Kosovo's main export destinations in February were North Macedonia, the U.S. and Albania. Base metals, various manufactured articles, and mineral products were Kosovo's main export items.
Machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment, mineral products and food, beverages and tobacco made up the bulk of Kosovo's imports in February. Most of the imports originated in Turkey, Germany and China.
