PRISTINA (Kosovo), November 22 (SeeNews) – Kosovo's trade deficit increased by 4.5% year-on-year to 282.7 million euro ($313.0 million) in October, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
Exports fell by 15.6% to 32.3 million euro in October, while imports increased by 2.0% to 315.1 million euro, the Agency of Statistics said in a monthly economic report.
Kosovo's main export destinations in October were Albania, Italy and North Macedonia. Base metals, plastic products, as well as food, beverages and tobacco were Kosovo's main export items.
Mineral products, machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment as well as base metals made up the bulk of Kosovo's imports in October. Most of the imports originated in Germany, Turkey and Italy.
