March 1 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's trade deficit grew 13.7% year-on-year to 125.4 million euro ($132.1 million) in January, the country's statistical office said.
Exports declined 3.7% year-on-year to 21.4 million euro in January, while imports increased 10.8% to 146.9 million euro, the statistical office said in a monthly trade report published on Tuesday.
Kosovo's main export destinations in January were India, Albania, China and Serbia. Base metals, mineral products, and plastic products were Kosovo's main export items.
Mineral products, food, beverages and tobacco, machinery, appliances and electric materials, made up the bulk of Kosovo's imports in January. Most of the imports originated from Serbia, Germany, China and Turkey.
