November 23 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's gross electricity production decreased to 454.52 GWh in September, down 2.78% year-on-year, the national statistical office said.
Thermal power plants produced 460.04 GWh, wind and solar power plants generated 35.75 GWh, while hydro power plants generated 9.03 GWh, Kosovo's Agency of Statistics said in a statement on Tuesday.
Kosovo imported 273.26 GWh of electricity in September, down 19.97% on the year, whereas power exports fell by an annual 3.57% to 323.55 GWh.
Coal production was about 8.44 thousand tonnes in September, up 57.22% compared with the same month of the previous year.
