PRISTINA (Kosovo), November 15 (SeeNews) – Kosovo's gross power production decreased to 1,247.8 GWh in the third quarter of 2018, from 1,520.6 GWh in the second quarter, the national statistical agency said on Thursday.
Thermal power plants produced 1,178.4 GWh of electricity, while hydropower plants generated 69.4 GWh, the statistical agency said in a statement.
Kosovo imported 169.3 GWh of electricity in July-September, up from 23 GWh in the second quarter of 2018, whereas its exports decreased to 132.2 GWh from 344.2 GWh.
Coal output edged down to 1.63 million tonnes in the third quarter of 2018 from 1.64 million tonnes in April-June.
Kosovo's power consumption decreased by 1.2% year-on-year to 947.7 GWh in the third quarter.
