PRISTINA (Kosovo), August 16 (SeeNews) – Kosovo's gross power production decreased to 1,520.6 GWh in the second quarter of 2018, from 1,727.5 GWh in the first quarter, the national statistical agency said.
Thermal power plants produced 1,402.5 GWh of electricity, while hydropower plants generated 118.1 GWh, the statistical agency said in a statement on Wednesday.
Kosovo imported 23 GWh of electricity in April-June, down from 119.2 GWh in the first quarter of 2018, whereas its exports increased to 344.2 GWh from 106.4 GWh.
Coal output decreased to 1.64 million tonnes in the second quarter of 2018 from 1.98 million tonnes in January-March.
Kosovo's power consumption decreased by 6.7% year-on-year to 879.8 GWh in the second quarter.
