January 15 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's government has approved a 222.4 million euro ($268.8 million) economic recovery package aimed at mitigating the effects of the Covid-19 crisis in 2021, the prime minister's office said on Friday.
The government also approved changes to the measures for protection against the Covid-19 spread in Kosovo, the prime minister's office said in a statement, without providing further details.
Local magazine Prishtina Insight reported that the government has reduced curfew time in municipalities with high risk of infection to start from 9:30 pm and end at 5 am. Previously, citizens living in municipalities with high risk of transmission of Covid-19 were prohibited from leaving their homes from 8 pm until 5 am the following day.
Furthermore, in municipalities with medium and low risk of spread of the disease, businesses will now be allowed to operate until 10 pm, according to the report. Previously, businesses in low and medium risk municipalities were required to close at 8 pm.
In addition, public gatherings are now limited to 50 people instead of just four.
