September 28 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by a real 4.6% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2017, after posting an annual growth of 3.9% in the first quarter, Kosovo's statistics agency said on Thursday.
Calculated in current prices, Kosovo's second-quarter GDP totalled 1.58 billion euro ($1.74 billion), statistics agency data showed.
Gross capital formation increased by 17.1% year-on-year in the April-June period, exports of goods and services rose by 19.4% and imports by 1.2%. Declines were recorded by household and government consumption, of 3.2 % and 1.8%, respectively.
Kosovo's economy expanded by 3.4% in 2016, compared with 4.1% in 2015.
