June 30 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by a real 3.9% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2017, after posting an annual growth of 3% in the last quarter of 2016, Kosovo's statistics agency said on Friday.
Calculated in current prices, Kosovo's first-quarter GDP totalled 1.25 billion euro ($1.43 billion), statistics agency data showed.
Gross capital formation increased 13.7% year-on-year in the January-March period, whereas import of goods and services rose 3.8%.
Final consumption of households added 3.9% on the year , while export of goods and services grew by 4.5%.
Final consumption of the government dropped 10.7%.
Kosovo's economy expanded by 3.4% in 2016, compared to 4.1% in 2015.
