December 19 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's gross domestic product (GDP) rose by a real 2.07% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2022, after increasing by 2.14% in the previous three-month period, the statistical office said.
Measured in current prices, Kosovo's GDP totaled 2.5 billion euro ($2.7 billion) in the July-September period, the Kosovo Agency of Statistics said in a statement on Thursday.
The sectors that had the biggest positive contribution to Kosovo's economic growth in the third quarter of 2022 were financial and insurance activities, professional and administrative activities, information and communication and arts, entertainment and recreation and other service activities.
Kosovo's economy expanded by 10.53% in 2021, after shrinking by 4.14% the year before.
In September, Kosovo's central bank said it expects the country's economic output to increase by 3% in 2022.
