May 29 (SeeNews) - Kosovo’s average net wage rose by 3.24% to 446 euro ($477.6) in 2022, after increasing by 3.8% in 2021, the country’s statistical office, ASK, said on Monday.
The average gross wage grew by 7.6% to 521 euro in 2022, following a 3.86% increase in the previous year, ASK stated in a press release.
In the private sector, the average net wage grew by 6.66% to 401 euro, while in the public sector the average net wage decreased by 1.1% to 536 euro.
The sectors with the highest average net wage last year were electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply with 804 euro, and information and communication with 745 euro. The lowest average net wage in 2022 was registered in the accommodation and food services sector, of 277 euro.
