November 10 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's EU-harmonised index of consumer prices rose by 0.9% year-on-year in October, after increasing by 1.7% in September, the national statistical agency said on Friday.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the largest weight of 37.6% in the consumer basket, increased 2.3% on the year, after rising 1.3% in September.
Prices in the transport sector, which have the second-largest weight of 14.4%, remained unchanged year-on-year in October, following a 1.3% annual increase in September.
On a monthly comparison basis, Kosovo's consumer prices edged up 0.2% in October, following an increase of 0.1% in September.
In 2016, Kosovo's harmonised index of consumer prices rose by 0.3% compared to 2015.
