PRISTINA (Kosovo), November 16 (SeeNews) – Israel-based company specialised in agribusiness projects and investments OAPI is willing to invest $100 million (85.2 million euro) in Kosovo, the office of Kosovo's prime minister has said.
Deputy prime minister Fatmir Limaj met with a delegation of Israeli investors headed by a representative of OAPI who has expressed the interest of the company in investing the sum in Kosovo's agriculture sector, the PM's office said in a press release on Wednesday.
"Our goal is to build a $100 million investment project that would create 800 to 1,000 jobs and contribute to educating farmers with the most modern technology," OAPI representative, Israeli businessman Joshua Shlomiuk said, according to the press release.
"It is a first step towards a concrete economic cooperation and I am pleased that these investors are supported and encouraged by the Israeli state," Limaj said.
Oz Agribusiness Projects & Investments Ltd. (OAPI) is specializing in turnkey projects for agriculture including greenhouses, packing houses, poultry and dairy farms.
