PRISTINA (Kosovo), January 30 (SeeNews) – Kosovo parliament said on Wednesday it has approved five loan agreements worth a total of around 23.05 million euro ($26.3 million) with UniCredit Bank Austria and Raiffeisen to finance projects for improving water management in five municipalities.
The loans will be used to finance the construction of water supply networks in the municipalities of Ferizaj, Gracanica and Istog and the construction of wastewater network in the municipalities of Shtime and Podujeva, the parliament said in a press release.
In November, Kosovo's finance ministry signed four loan deals worth a total of 17.7 million euro with UniCredit and Raiffeisen to finance projects in Ferizaj, Gracanica Istog and Shtime, and in September, it signed a 5.35 million euro loan agreement with UniCredit to finance the construction of a wastewater network in Podujeva.
The credits are being extended under the financial cooperation agreement on soft loans signed between Kosovo and Austria in 2017.
