December 15 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's MyWings Aviation, Croatia's Trade Air and flag carrier Croatia Airlines [ZSE: CRAL] teamed up to launch regular flights connecting the Croatian capital Zagreb to Kosovo's Pristina, the Zagreb airport operator said on Wednesday.
“As part of the project, flights by the leading operator at Pristina Airport, MyWings Aviation, are planned with Trade Air aircraft, which will lease 76-seat Dash 8-Q400 from Croatia Airlines by the end of March 2022. With the start of the summer flight schedule in 2022, it is planned to increase the number of available seats, when Trade Air’s aircraft Airbus 319 should be flying on the route,” Zagreb Airport said in a statement.
There will be three flights a week on the new route.
“The direct line between Zagreb and Pristina will certainly contribute to a better connection between the two capitals and have a positive effect on the gradual recovery of air traffic in both Zagreb and Pristina,” Huseyin Bahadir Bedir, CEO of Zagreb Airport, said in the statement following the inauguration flight on the route on Wednesday.
MyWings Aviation and Trade Air are both privately held air carriers, whereas Croatia Airlines is majority state-owned.
Shares of Croatia Airlines last traded on November 11 when they closed 6.67% lower at 14 kuna ($2.1/1.9 euro).
