December 4 (SeeNews) - The combined net profit of Kosovo's banks rose to 75.7 million euro ($90 million) at the end of October, from 65 million euro a year earlier, central bank data showed on Monday.
The banking sector's outstanding loan portfolio expanded 10.6% year-on-year to 2.43 billion euro at end-October, according to figures published on the central bank's website.
Deposits in Kosovo's banks increased by 9% on the year to 3 billion euro at end-October.
Kosovo banking system's total assets grew to 3.78 billion euro at end-October from 3.5 billion euro a year earlier.
Return on assets (ROA) increased to 2.7% at the end of October, from 2.3% a year earlier. Return on equity also improved, rising to 22.5% from 19.2% at the end of October 2016.
The figures comprise the financial results of 10Kosovo banks. The largest by assets among them are Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo and ProCredit Bank.
