PRISTINA (Kosovo), December 4 (SeeNews) – The net profit of Kosovo's banking sector decreased to 68.1 million euro ($77.3 million) in the first 10 months of 2018, from 75.7 million euro in the like period of last year, Kosovo's central bank said on Tuesday.
The outstanding loan portfolio of Kosovo's banks expanded by 11.6% year-on-year to 2.7 billion euro at the end of October, the central bank said in a monthly report.
Deposits increased by 6.9% on the year, reaching 3.23 billion euro at the end of October.
The Kosovo banking system's total assets grew to 4.02 billion euro as of the end of October from 3.78 billion euro a year earlier.
Return on assets (ROA) decreased to 2.3%, from 2.7%. Return on equity also fell - to 18.8% from 22.5%.
The figures comprise the financial results of 10 Kosovo banks. The largest by assets among them are Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo and ProCredit Bank.
