December 31 (SeeNews) - The net profit of Kosovo's banking sector increased to 107.5 million euro ($121.6 million) in the eleven months through November, from 70.8 million euro in the same period of 2020, the country's central bank said.
The outstanding loan portfolio of Kosovo's banks totalled 3.7 billion euro at the end of November, up 15% year-on-year, the central bank said in a monthly report on Thursday.
Deposits grew to 4.7 billion euro at the end of November, up 12.8% year-on-year.
The Kosovo banking system's total assets amounted to 5.8 billion euro at the end of November, up from 5.1 billion euro a year earlier.
Return on assets (ROA) rose to 2.4%, from 1.6% at the end of November 2020. Return on equity also increased, to 19.5% from 14.1%.
The figures comprise the financial results of eleven banks. Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo and ProCredit Bank are the largest among them in terms of assets.
