December 30 (SeeNews) - The net profit of Kosovo's banking sector rose to 131.9 million euro ($141 million) in the January-November period, from 107.5 million euro in the same period of last year, the country's central bank said on Friday.
The outstanding loan portfolio of Kosovo's banks totalled 4.3 billion euro at the end of November, up 16.5% year-on-year, the central bank said in a monthly report on the banking sector's performance.
Deposits in the system totalled 5.3 billion euro at the end of November, up 13.7% year-on-year.
Total assets amounted to nearly 6.5 billion euro at the end of November, higher than 5.8 billion euro a year earlier.
Return on assets (ROA) rose to 2.6%, from 2.4% at the end of November 2021. Return on equity was 21%, up from 19.5% a year earlier.
The figures comprise the financial results of 11 banks. Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo and ProCredit Bank are the largest among them in terms of assets.
